I got in contact with photography about 5 years ago (2000) when I got my first camera,
a Canon Eos300. I bought a lens with it (75-300) and started making pictures.
At first I just thought it was fun to make some pictures.. later on, I just got more infected with the photography-virus and began to take it more serious.
I was doing a study in those years, but began seriously to think about a study in
photography..

Didn't choose that kind of study after all, but bought a new camera next to the Eos300...
An Eos 350D...
Very happy with this camera and still making progress in everyting I think.
Using my 'old' camera to shoot black/white pictures wich I develop myself and using the Eos350D to practice even more than I did before...

At this time I'm active in normal photography as in manipulating photo's as you will see in my portfolio.
Most of my pictures I shoot in RAW and using the software RawShooter Essentials and Photoshop CS to finish them on my laptop.

Why ObscureSilva... It's a sort of way to explain / express my artwork.
Obscure Silva Is latin for Dark Forest. The word Obscure also looks a lot like the Camera Obscura...
